Since 2022, Cybersecurity has become a homologation topic for the automotive industry in Europe, Japan, and Korea. Nevertheless, other world regions are launching similar Regulations, which aim to define guidelines and best practices to protect vehicles from external attacks. Among other topics, validating a test of cybersecurity posture is becoming a paramount problem that needs to be faced by Product testing and Product cybersecurity teams.

Cybersecurity requirements need to be validated and verified before the start of production and before the traditional final penetration test. Testing automation is needed to increase quality, reduce costs and cope with CI/CD processes.

Cybersecurity test tools need to be integrated with Hardware-In-the-Loop systems to support testing automation and increase test coverage, in order to validate all the software branches and the complete set of vehicle functions.

Integration between Drivesec’ s Weseth and NI HIL systems allows an extension of the perimeter of cybersecurity testing. It allows a full integration of cybersecurity requirements testing into the normal flow of validation and testing processes. The Weseth platform can be integrated with NI systems to deploy new powerful testing scenarios.
